DC-DC Converters For Railway Applications

For railway applications, our SWBR6 series of 6-watt DC DC converters packs a variety of features, including high efficiency up to 83%, low ripple and noise and 3,000-Vdc input to output isolation. Available in a miniature SIP package of 0.86 x 0.36 x 0.44 inches, the series also features remote ON/OFF control, low standby power and short circuit and overcurrent protection. The design meets EN50155 and EN45545-2 standards.

The SWBR6-12XX recommended an aluminum electrolytic capacitor (Nippon chemi-con KY series, 220μF/100V) and a TVS (SMDJ70A, 70V, 3000Watt peak pulse power) to connect in parallel.
The SWBR6-48XX recommended an aluminum electrolytic capacitor (Nippon chemi-con KY series, 220μF/ 100V) and a TVS (SMDJ120A, 120V, 3000Watt peak pulse power) to connect in parallel.
The SWBR6-110XX recommended an aluminum electrolytic capacitor (Nippon chemi-con KXJ series, 150μF/ 200V) and a TVS (SMB250A, 250V, 600Watt peak pulse power) to connect in parallel.

CAUTION: This power module is not internally fused. An input line fuse must always be used.
